British Officers Cricket Club

We are happy to announce the British Officers Cricket Club (BOCC) Youth Cricket Program for the 2026 season! We are thrilled to invite young cricketers of all skill levels to join our program for the year. Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or looking to sharpen advanced techniques, our program is designed to foster talent, build confidence, and provide a fun-filled cricket experience.

This year we will be running a similar program to last year. We will have two six week programs with the first starting in early May and the second program starting in mid August. Dates are below.

For those new to the program we run 90 minute sessions, usually on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 10am. These sessions are catered for children, who have limited or no cricket experience, between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. The focus is on developing the fundamentals of cricket in a safe, fun environment in order to help the children develop a passion for cricket.

In batting we work on having a correct grip, a proper stance, hitting the ball to both sides of the wicket and most importantly watching the ball right onto the bat. Bowling is often a difficult technique to master, especially for younger players, so we focus on the mechanics of a correct bowling technique. Once the children are able to bowl with a correct action we then focus on helping them synchronize their approach, action and follow through to help improve accuracy and speed. In fielding we play many games to improve their catching and ground fielding, again focusing on good technique so that they can catch the ball more consistently and avoid getting hurt. All the instruction the players get is in the context of making sure they are engaged and having fun, so that they develop a love for the game and a desire to continue playing.

The cost is $150 for each six week program. There is a $20 discount for extra siblings and $20 referral discount if you help bring a new player to the program. To register for the Spring program please complete the form attached and then you can send payments with methods below.
