Congratulation to our skippers for the upcoming season:
GPCL(40) and all T20 competitions: Devi captain, Ishaan vice captain
PMCL(30) Gold: Hruday captain, Parth vice captain
PMCL(30) Blue: Gurpreet captain, Fahad vice captain
Social: Ajay captain
No formal vice captain is being named for the social teams, Ajay will delegate skipper duties for games where he is not playing, and at other times at his discretion.
At this time it appears we will need to create separate squads for the PMCL Gold and Blue teams, unless this changes at the upcoming PMCL AGM we will operate under that assumption.
The Gold squad will be a joint group for the GPCL+PMCL Gold teams, and will have approximately 20 players, all other members will effectively be in the Blue squad. We’ll send a survey soon to get an idea of who wants to be considered for each squad, and the Gold squad skippers (Devi,Ishaan,Hruday,Parth) will make those decisions prior to the T30 season.
Please be aware that with 20 players and perhaps 4, 5 or 6 doubling up, there may be occasional weeks that a Gold squad member does not get selected (for league play). But people are unavailable every week so it will rarely be 20 being picked from, and every effort will be made to distribute the off weeks evenly among the whole squad, sometimes Gold squad players may even move up into the GPCL team if not playing for their normal PMCL Gold team that week.
BUT… Consider this situation when choosing your preferred squad.
